Artist Profile: Edward Tait

Edward Tait portrait

Edward Tait is a British composer, studying at the Royal Academy of Music, with Gareth Moorcraft and Louise Drewett. His music has been performed across the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States, at venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Smith Square Hall and Westminster Abbey. He has also worked with renowned ensembles like the London Sinfonietta, Carducci Quartet, Orion Orchestra and Lloyd’s Choir. He is currently collaborating with writer Mollie Mardel and the Arquia Duo on the creation and recording of his song cycle Vectis.

Edward is artistic director of the MetroLand Music Festival. In November, his piece my troubled sense doth move will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3’s Early Music Show, following his success in the NCEM/BBC Young Composer Award.
